Well its that time of year again. Ice fishing will be just around the corner. We are starting book trips, and encourage you to connect us immediately if you have any specific dates that you would like to get out. We have spent the summer building a “supply shack”. This shack will allow us to store extra gear and take through out the day. Just a place to keep things during the day. We also purchased another 2017 Polaris Ranger with a heated cab. Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!!!
Looking forward to the winter. JJ

3-29 Spring Walleye Trips
If anyone is interested in getting in on some spring walleye open water trips get in touch with JJ. April is the best time of the year to catch trophy walleyes. We will be running a couple trips in Door County and the western side of Green Bay. The bite is just staring to pick up. Will be improving in the next couple of weeks.
Since the ice left we went and explored ice in northern Wisconsin and had a blast. Caught some nice perch and a couple eater walleyes. We made three separate trips up and had great success exploring new inland bodies of water.

Its hard to believe the 2017 ice season is over. The warm weather coupled with strong south winds were no match for the ice on Green Bay. Last check before the recent snow storm there was LOTS of open water from Little Sturgeon north up the Peninsula.
We have canceled all the remaining whitefish trips for this year and are HOPING that we can sneak some guys out for walleyes if the ice on the walleye spots hold. Hard to say.
We have put most of the gear away for the season, but managed to sneak out and do a little “fun fishing” Found some nice perch on some of the inner bays.
Thanks again to all of our customers and we are already looking forward to 2018! Ill try to keep this updated through the spring and summer periodically
. Check back!

This weather is crazy, we have pulled all our houses off the ice for the time being. Its hard to say whats going to happen. The conditions are very poor out on Green Bay and 50’s and 60’are predicted for the next couple days. If it moves, its over. If it stay we may be able to fish close to shore. Its honestly hard to say.
Fishing up to this warm up was very good with limit catches for most groups. Fish size seems to be good this year. Just sucks we can’t get out there! Just keep an eye on the fishing reports for any ice updates.

The fishing has been pretty consistent the past couple days. We have had limit catches or near limit catches using the traditional pimple rigs with gulp, and waxies. Fishing 50-80fow. Just gotta fishing and pay attention to your technique.
The ice has been pretty good with 12-16″ in our off shore spots. No real cracks or open pockets. The large crack has healed over and is gaining ice daily.
I have a couple openings for this coming week. Sunday 2/6 and 2/7 Monday. Let me know if you would like get out.

Feels good to be back on the ice after this warm up. We started running guide trips Thursday on our deep water spots. The ice has held up pretty good after the warm up. Nothing to was majorly effected. Good catches of whitefish for those who fished and payed attention to the technique. We noticed that you had to pay very close attention to the technique the past few days to get on the bite. Typical whitefish rigs in 50-80 foot with no particular depth working better. Some really big fish this weekend.
I had a last minute cancelation early in the week. I have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with some room if your looking to get out. Give me a call. Ill know mid week if there is any last minute cancellations for the weekend.

Talk about a January thaw! The temps on the peninsula have not been kind to the ice. The ice depth remains pretty consistent on the whitefish grounds with 12-14″. Last Thursday a large crack opened up on the far north end of Larson reef and left some ice houses stranded. Luckily there was no one on the “bad” side of the crack when it opened. The ice houses were recovered safely Saturday.
We had to unfortunately last minute cancel most of our groups just because of the warm up, crack, and rain. Since Sunday the ice remains intact with no new cracks. The ice still seems to be good. We drilled and inspected the ice to our “first deep water” spot. Late last week before the warm up the fish was darn good with quick limit catches on the traditional whitefish rigs.
We should be running full steam from Thursday on out, if you have questions about you reservations contact JJ at 920-493-2953 via text or voice. We are getting snow tonight and the temps begin to get below zero!
We are monitoring the ice, daily, by the hour.
We Looking forward to fishing with you soon.

Sure feels good to be back on the deep whitefish spots. Fishing has been pretty good on the traditional whitefish rigs. Fishing with gulp waxies on the sliders has been working 60-90 foot. Starting to seem some smaller whitefish under 14″ but still plenty of 16″+ fish. Fishing remains pretty consistent with limit catches for most groups.
Currently raining in Door County. We will be making a call late Thursday in regards to our fishing this coming weekend. We have around 12-14″ ice and the cracks are good. MODIS image looks good with lots of ice north of the the islands.
I have some room for Friday and two shacks that just came open for this weekend. They won’t last long!
