Sand bay

So around noon a big massive sheet of ice moved on to this side of the bay. There are numerous holes in it and looks rough (choppy). I will know more as far as ice depth and such tomorrow. It looks alot better then seeing open water but I would not trust it.  If you look on MODIS you can see the massive ice pack from yesterday. It was in the middle at that time. Current temp 21 and falling winder 5-15 out of NNW

Rough

Well I have changed from a ice report to a fishing report…(finally)

So I was able to get out today on some good ice for some whitefish action. Found the fish at 3pm and hammered on them till dusk. C&R about 18. Finally feels good to get the whitefish slime on the hands again. LOL. Will be moving shacks around for the weekend. Cold is on its way!!

Hey All

So we made some good ice last night. Still not quite ready to get rolling. The mouth of LS has a bunch of chop ice and slush in it. Its about 1-2″ thick. Hope it freezes tonight. I will be out checking the ice tomorrow and hopefully my ice reports page turns into fishing reports page..lol

Hey Everyone,

So the ice is taking a POUNDING to day…BUT the cold is coming. should set up nice this weekend. I am waiting till Sunday or Monday to venture out. Dont want to push the envelope when were so close. Stay tuned I will have more posts/reports coming.
