Ice road is complete. Its crude but we can get out. Will start guiding everyday. The bite has been very good in our deeper off shore spots. I have availability during the week and Sundays. Fishing report on Thursday.
1-20 Update
Ice OPS hit a little road block this week. The Ice cutter is going to Green Bay on Thursday which means off shore fishing is on pause till that operation is over. The cutting causes the ice to possibly shift with the wind. Waiting till this is over before venturing out. Once that is over we need to carve a road 1 mile through knee high shoves. Will be chainsawing, flooding, and chopping my way through. For now we are fishing this weekend only in the inner bays. Been getting some fish in there. Once we have a road we will be off shore.
We have been dong a little walleye fishing and my good friend (guide) tied into this 11.50.lb Green Bay giant. He has fished long and hard for a fish like this… Patience, Passion, and Persistence are what are need to catch Green Bay Giatns… The fish was relapsed to FIGHT AND BITE another day!
1-17 Ice Update
Wel last nights temps have really increased the ice pack north of Sturgeon Bay. From Sturgeon Bay north to Egg Harbor the bay has a great deal of ice upon it, there are still some open holes. South from Peshtigo point to Sturgeon Bay appears to be frozen across. Will let it be for a couple days and venture out to check it. Should have ice guiding operations going by the weekend. Will have a better report in the next couple days.

1-13 Update
The ice pack had expanded to include Larsons Reef, still some open pockets of water in these locations swell as south to limekiln. I would not recommend going out there. Ice still has some play left in it and is shifting a little bit. There were some anglers fishing the mouth of Little Sturgeon, the ice i checked was thinner that I would like for going out there.
Bigger report sorrow. The video is from off sherwood point, some pockets of open water there….

Ice Update 1-12
The cold temps the past couple days has increased the ice coverage from little sturgeon south. There are several smaller pockets of open water which will ice over tonight. The ice pack on the bay north of Little Sturgeon across to Oconto Remains open north. The strong winds are preventing that from freezing. When the winds die I anticipate that to freeze over quickly. Ice depth varies in Little Sturgeon.

Ice Update 1-6
There is come ice with in the inner portions of Little Sturgeon. Its about 2-5″ in spots. The temps look warmer until sunday. After that we should make plenty of ice…until then I will have a report.
Late Ice Walleye Bite
With the coldest part of the winter behind us, some of the best ice fishing is upon us! Late ice whitefish bite tends to be extremely strong, while the walleye ice fishing goes into over drive. March is the best time of the year to put trophy walleyes on the ice. I still have avalibility during march. Please contact us immediatly if you are looking to book a late ice trophy walley trip.
The whitefish bite remains very strong with limit cathces or near limit catches. Occasional burbot is also being caught. Walleye bite is starting to pick up. Should get better with the anicipated warmer weather. Ice depth remains at nearly 25+ inches.
Look forward to fishing with you soon. Captain JJ
Fishing Report 1-21
We are fishing in 60-90FOW and the fishing has been very consistent with limits or near limits daily. The traditonal whitefish rigs with a single hook has been producing very good. The fish size seems to be consistent like last year. We expect a strong bite to last for a while. Ice conditions are good with 12″-14″
Picture from the weekend and early this week.
1-7 FISHING THE REEF
We were able to get out to the traditonal whitefish spots, fishing is red hot. We have waited a long time to get out these spots. WIll have detailed report tomorrow.
JJ
Update 1-4
Ice conditions continue to improve day by day. We have not ventured out to the deeper water yet. I think we will start checking that ice early in the week. The bite was a little tougher for whitefish this weekend due to the amount of pressure in such a small location. Some anglers are fishing the Lime Kiln shoreline, but there is a large crack and ice thickness is very spotty. I would advise not going to this fishing location.
Pictures from the weekend.
