Been awhile since I have been on here. Going to work hard to keep it up to date.

The ice remains very solid across green bay. 18-24″ in most spots. Not to many cracks.

The fishing has been very good with limits and larger fish. Some days the smaller fish move in and we have to pick through them, still a blast reeling them in. I am fishing anywhere from 65-90 FOW. Gold pimples and gulp being the best combination. Most fish coming on the top slider hook.

A quick tip. Most groups who have the best success are really focusing on technique rather than bait selection. The slow rythmatic upward jiggle from the bottom is producing the most fish. Pay close attention to your technique.

I was out today fishing for smallies. Used a vairety of baits. Cranks, grubs, and tube. Cranks seem to catch smaller fish with bigger fish coming in on Green pumpkin grubs. Fishing 5-8fow.  Water is still a bit chilly 48-50. Great fishing  awaits!

Green Bay Door County Smallmouth Bass

We had a really good night of ice making last night. Another great night of cold weather upon us. Was out near the mouth of LS and had 4-6 inches of ice. Caught a handful of whitefish. USE EXTREME CAUTION out there. I would hold off on going out there until the weekend. Will have a report tomorrow.

Hey Everyone, Warm weather is racking havoc on ice formation. Still no fishable ice on Green Bay. There are some guys fishing the inner bay, like little sturgeon. I am currently up in little bay de noc, again fishing. Good ice up here 6-10″ Think Cold!

Hey Guys, I apologize for being off the grid the past couple days. I was up in Little Bay De Noc. What an amazing fishery. We iced a lot of nice fish. Two years in a row we have iced fish at the 30″ mark. If you never fished it you shoud try it! Would be well worth your time.

Ice Report

Contrary to other reports for the area there is no ice on Green Bay in the Door Peninsula area. There however is ice in some of the surround bays such as little sturgeon. I saw several groups of guys fishing there. There is ice from Wave Point inward. The mouth remains open aswell as the bay.

Green Bay is iced over from Chaudoirs dock south. I would be EXTREMELY cautious of venturing out in that area. We have a good week of ice making weather ahead of us, lows in the single digits.

I am really looking forward to getting on some whitefish and Walleyes, It wont be to long! I will be out tomorrow on the ice in Little Sturgeon check ice depth.

Hey  I am up in little bay de noc. Will be out on the ice fishing tomorrow morning. We have about 3-4 inches of ice. Will have a fishing report tomorrow.
